HSH Chemie, a leading cosmetic raw materials and home care distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, exhibited at SEPAWA Congress 2026 in Berlin. We showcased high-performance cosmetic & home care raw materials and shared the latest industry trends with customers and supplier partners.

The HSH Chemie team showcased cosmetic & home care formulation solutions at SEPAWA Congress 2026.
SEPAWA Congress is Europe’s leading event for the cosmetics, detergents, cleaning products and fragrance industries. It took place at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin, where we exhibited at Booth D572. As a leading personal care ingredients distributor in CEE, our booth welcomed long-time customers, supplier partners and many new connections from across Europe over the three-day event.
Our colleagues shared the latest trends and market insights on sustainable cosmetic raw materials, clean beauty, sensitive skin care, green cleaning and shifting regulatory demands. At our meeting tables, visitors brought their toughest personal care and home care formulation challenges. Together, we discussed new formulations and found solutions on the spot, with honest answers on performance, cost-in-use and regulatory fit.
We also connected with our supplier partners in person, strengthening the collaborations that bring their cosmetic and home care innovations to customers across CEE.
We presented four featured products that solve real formulation challenges, from a grit-free azelaic acid solution to a safer D-Limonene alternative. Each of our featured products tackles a specific formulation problem, and all are available to order directly through HSH Chemie.

Azelaic acid is one of skincare’s best actives, linked to results for rosacea, troubled skin, redness and skin brightening. Demand is growing fast, with over 150,000 monthly searches in the US alone. Yet formulators know it as gritty and unstable.
Vantage’s patent-pending AZENOVA™ changes that. By delivering a grit-free azelaic acid formulation in a flowable liquid gel, it blends smoothly into leave-on emulsions without texture instability. It matches standard azelaic acid against C. acnes and inflammation at half the concentration, so formulators also gain on cost-in-use. At just 5%, it rivals 1% kojic acid or 10% standard azelaic acid for melanin inhibition.

Even cleansers labelled “gentle” can leave sensitive skin reactive, and most PEG-free emollients sacrifice mildness, transparency or foam. Hallstar’s Surfinesse™ Hydra was designed to solve both problems.
This olive-oil-derived, PEG-free emollient is clinically proven to reduce SLS-induced redness and swelling, with full skin recovery in 24 hours. It delivers zero trade-off on foam, and skin feels three times smoother than with a placebo, with no drag or residue. Water-soluble, 100% renewable, palm-free and readily biodegradable, it is available directly through HSH Chemie.

For home care brands seeking to avoid citrus allergen labeling, Kuraray’s MMB (MethoxyMethylButanol) provides a high-performance D-Limonene alternative for home care formulations. It offers strong solvency and low odor while maintaining superior pH stability across a wide range of cleaning applications.
It is biodegradable and EU Ecolabel-compliant, and it works across laundry detergents, degreasers, multi-purpose cleaners and air fresheners. It stays stable across high and low pH, and its low evaporation rate helps scents last longer.

With expanded mandatory allergen labeling, cosmetic and home care brands face tightening regulatory deadlines. Frey+Lau’s sensitizer-free fragrances under EU 2023/1545 provide a safe, fully compliant solution without compromising on olfactory character.
Free of sensitizers down to a 10 ppm detection limit and Ökotest conform, these scents prove that hypoallergenic profiles—like fresh Aloe Flower and the 100% natural Cucumber Care—can still deliver memorable consumer experiences. They belong to a growing range of 11 sensitizer-free fragrances available directly through HSH Chemie.

At our booth, Gábor Hegedüs, Sales Manager for Personal and Home Care (Hungary), interviewed two of our colleagues.
Marcin Roszyk, President and Sales Director of HSH Chemie Poland, shared our biggest news. After the successful launch of our Innovation Center in Poznan, a laboratory for the building industry, we are now opening our own cosmetic laboratory. It will help us support customers with innovative cosmetic formulations, technical know-how and new product concepts.
Dejan Radovanovic, Sales Manager for Personal and Home Care (Serbia), introduced the three formulation concepts we presented at SEPAWA 2026. They show how we combine innovative cosmetic raw materials with practical consumer benefits.
Our formulation concepts from SEPAWA turn innovative personal and home care ingredients into products with clear consumer benefits:
Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser: A clear, mild cleanser with a gentle foam that cleanses while keeping skin soft and comfortable.
Longevity Face Serum: A silky skin longevity serum formulation that supports firm, healthy-looking skin, in line with the growing skin longevity trend.
Illuminating Body Lotion: A nourishing body lotion that leaves skin hydrated with a natural, radiant glow.
All the ingredients behind these concepts are available through HSH Chemie. Our technical team can help you adapt formulations like these to your own brand. We support you from home and personal care ingredient selection to finished product. These concepts are the first of many new formulation ideas we look forward to sharing with our customers.

Beyond our featured products, visitors explored COSMOS-approved cosmetic & home care raw materials, as well as Ecocert-certified ingredients, botanical extracts, silicone alternatives, mild surfactants, biodegradable detergent blends and foam control agents.
With more than 30 years of experience and 30+ warehouses across Central and Eastern Europe, our team supports customers from home and personal ingredient selection to finished product.
