HSH Chemie, a distributor of home and personal care ingredients across Central and Eastern Europe, exhibited at HPCI 2026 on September 23–24 in Warsaw, Poland. We presented cosmetic raw materials and home care ingredients with four cosmetic ingredients suppliers: FREY&LAU, Hallstar, Lipoid Kosmetik and Vantage.

The HSH Chemie team and partners at our HPCI 2026 booth in Warsaw.
HPCI CEE is the region's leading trade fair for home and personal care ingredients. Two packed days brought long-time customers and many new faces to our booth.
Display cases held a range of formulation samples, showcasing active skincare ingredients, scalp and body care actives, and the latest fragrance trends. At our meeting tables, visitors discussed their personal care and home care formulation challenges with our team and partners, turning them into innovative solutions. Our experts shared the latest trends, market insights and fresh ideas for new cosmetic formulations.
Together, our partner cosmetic ingredients suppliers covered everything from fragrances to actives. You can source their cosmetic raw materials directly from HSH Chemie.

Founded in Hamburg in 1836, FREY&LAU brings more than 180 years of perfumery expertise. Its perfumers create fragrance compositions for personal care, home care formulations and technical perfumery. At our booth, guests explored these compositions on fragrance strips.
A highlight of the portfolio is FREY&LAU's range of sensitizer-free, hypoallergenic fragrances for personal care. They are free of the 80+ sensitizers listed in EU Regulation 2023/1545, down to a detection limit of 10 ppm, and are Ökotest conform. The range includes:
Aloe Flower: fresh and leafy green, with azalea, apple and pear notes
Apple & Eve: fruity and ripe, with a classic apple character
Cucumber Care (100% Natural): fresh and green, with a true-to-life cucumber character made entirely from natural ingredients
Tender Touch (100% Natural): floral and fresh, with eucalyptus, mint and orchid on a creamy, woody base
Med Sensitive: aldehydic, green and floral, with creamy, fruity notes over sandalwood and amber
Pink Bloom (new): floral and fruity, with peach blossom, rose and peach
Balmy Blossom (100% Natural): fresh and floral, with eucalyptus, balsamic and powdery notes over cedarwood and sandalwood

Hallstar is a global expert in skin care, sun care and innovative active skincare ingredients. Its display paired the Olivem® range with a dedicated sun care showcase. The Olivem® line combines natural olive chemistry with Hallstar's technical expertise, spanning water-soluble emollients, mild surfactants and self-emulsifiers. One of them, the cold-process emulsifier Olivem® 2020, also took center stage in our Innovation Lab session at HPCI 2026.

Lipoid Kosmetik is a leading manufacturer of natural cosmetic raw materials, trusted for more than 50 years. Its portfolio ranges from botanical actives to pharma-grade natural lecithins. Its phospholipid technology includes skin-compatible actives and lipid-based delivery systems that mimic the skin's own barrier. At HPCI, it featured:
Cascara Pro turns upcycled coffee cherry shells into a scalp care active. Rich in caffeine and trigonelline, it boosts follicle longevity, strengthens scalp health and delivers protective phytochemical benefits.
PHOSPHOLIPON® 90 H IP is a biomimetic, hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine fraction from non-GMO soybean. It reinforces the skin barrier, gives a silky feel and works as a bright-white, non-irritant emulsifier.

Vantage presented Metaupon™, its range of sulfate-free, anionic mild surfactants. These foam boosters create a rich, dense foam for gentle rinse-off products such as shampoos, facial cleansers and bath additives. The foam stays strong even in hard water and high-oil conditions. Metaupon™ surfactants are also EO-free, 1,4-dioxane-free and preservative-free. Vantage's wider portfolio spans natural oils and high-performance skin and hair actives.

HPCI introduced the Innovation Lab in 2026, a series of hands-on workshops in a fully equipped laboratory. Exhibitors demonstrate live cosmetic formulations using their own ingredients. HSH Chemie and Hallstar hosted a session limited to 12 participants.
Together, we created the Hydra in Love Mask. This translucent mask has a sorbet-like texture and a refreshing, feather-light feel, designed for dry and even the most sensitive skin. It leaves the complexion looking deeply hydrated, more resilient and visibly youthful. Two Hallstar ingredients made it work.
Olivem® 2020 is a naturally derived, cold-process emulsifier based on olive oil chemistry. Because it works without added heat or high-shear mixing, it cuts energy use, processing time and cost. It can be added in any phase, emulsifies everything from hydrocarbons and silicones to natural oils and esters, and forms a liquid crystal structure. Its fatty acid profile is similar to the skin's own lipids, helping sustain skin hydration. It also works as a sensorial modifier, thickener and stabilizer.
Surfinesse™ Hydra is a PEG-free, palm-free, water-soluble emollient made from polyglyceryl-10, olive oil fatty acids and pelargonic acid. It is clinically proven to reduce skin redness and swelling caused by SLS, a common surfactant, while enhancing emollience and skin comfort. It comes from 100% renewable sources and is readily biodegradable. Thanks to its water solubility, it fits easily into toners, micellar waters, gel masks, cleansing gels, and hair and scalp care.

Certified Sustainable Ingredients: COSMOS, Ecocert and NATRUE-approved options, many of them vegan and cruelty-free, ready for clean-label formulations.
Proven Performance: Broad-spectrum, coral-safe UV filters and natural retinol-alternative active skincare ingredients. The retinol alternatives deliver visible anti-aging results without irritation.
Real Formulation Support: A technical team that helps customers move from concept to finished product faster. The team is backed by over 30 years of market experience and 30+ warehouses across Central and Eastern Europe.
Beyond personal care, we also supply cleaning ingredients for home care formulations across the region.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth or joined our Innovation Lab session, and to our four partners for a great show.
